How to Flush the DNS Cache in Windows Vista, 7 and 8?

Frequently web connection problems can be traced to a corrupted DNS cache. Flushing this cache is an easy fix to many of these problems.
here's how to do it.
Windows 8
1. Hold down the Windows Key on your keyboard and tap the X key. This will bring up a window with a number of options – select Command Prompt (Admin)

2. Type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit Enter. The screen should display the message Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache. and return you to the command prompt.

3. That's it – you're done! You can close the Command Prompt window.

Windows Vista and Windows 7
1. Click the Start button and select All Programs

2. Select Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator

3. Type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit Enter. The screen should display the message Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache. and return you to the command prompt.

4. You're done – you can now close the Command Prompt window.
